Why 64GRAD?
My camera's diagonally angle of view is 64°.
Lens: Leica Elmarit 1:2.8/24 ASPH, 35mm. With the following trigonometric equation the angle can be calculated.
f = ( d/2 ) : tan( w/2 )
w = 2 · arctan( ( d/2 ) : f )
f focal distance, w angle of view, d image size (diagonally)
At digital photography the size of the image sensor is equal to the size of the negative image. The diagonal is specified in inches, whereas one inch is equal to 25.4 mm.
